In 2012 University of Delhi launched a scheme of Innovation Projects to promote and motivate research at undergraduate level The scheme, which required projects to be done as a collaborative work by students and teachers, aimed at creating an environment of research at under graduate level in colleges giving exposure to students of interdisciplinary research It also helped and motivated college teachers to carry their research interests
A large number of teachers at Miranda House applied under the scheme and successfully got grants to carry forward interdisciplinary research
