Research and Development Cell

The Research and Development (R&D) Cell at Miranda House was established on 17 November 2022 with the vision of fostering a dynamic research ecosystem. In alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Centre is dedicated to enhancing research and innovation activities across disciplines, enabling faculty and students to make meaningful contributions to society through groundbreaking research.

Our Vision

To position Miranda House as a leading hub of academic excellence and innovation by cultivating a robust research culture that drives impactful and interdisciplinary solutions.

Key Objectives

  • Encouraging Faculty Research: Actively supporting faculty members engaged in research and innovation by providing resources and recognition.
  • Seed Funding for Projects: Facilitating research grants to fund innovative projects submitted by faculty members, as approved by the R&D Cell.
  • Multidisciplinary Focus: Prioritizing interdisciplinary research with an emphasis on translational applications that address real-world challenges.
  • Incubation Centre: Establishing a state-of-the-art incubation center to nurture and develop pioneering ideas and entrepreneurial ventures.
  • Promoting Research Ethos: Creating an environment that inspires curiosity, critical thinking, and collaboration among all stakeholders.

Initiatives and Activities

The R&D Cell actively organizes workshops, seminars, and training programs to equip faculty and students with the latest methodologies and tools for impactful research.

As part of its efforts, the R&D Cell has introduced 39 projects across various fields to the faculty members of Miranda House, encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration and innovative research.
