Basic Laboratory Techniques in Botany
The Department of Botany conducted a Bridge Course on ‘Basic Laboratory Techniques’ for students of B.Sc. (Honors) Botany I year on 05-06 August, 2019 and B.Sc. Life Sciences I year on 08-09 August, 2019 under the aegis of D.S. Kothari Central Inter-disciplinary Research Facility, Miranda House. The topics covered under the course included Safety Measures in the Laboratory, Microscopy, Use of Glassware, Colorimetry, Centrifugation, Use of Pipettes and Micropipettes, Preparation of Buffers and Determination of pH. A laboratory manual was also prepared for the Bridge Course covering all the topics in detail and given to all the students along with a certificate of participation. Dr. Madhu Bajaj and Dr. Saloni Bahri were the Coordinators of the Bridge Course.
