Antheia The inaugural lecture of Botanical Society ‘Antheia’ was delivered by Shri Kunal Satyarthi, Joint Secretary (Advisor), National Disaster Management Authority, Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India. on “Environmental Conservation: The Contemporary Realities” on 19 January 2022. Shri Satyarthi discussed about various strategies followed for environmental conservation and also about the challenges faced. Antheia also organized a webinar by Dr. Pinky Agarwal (Staff Scientist IV, National Institute of Plant Genome Research) on "Rice Grain: A Staple Food For All” on 29 Oct. 2021. A Lecture Series on “Career Counselling: Way Forward” was organized by Antheia in collaboration with The Internal Quality Assurance Cell, Miranda House. The first session “Discover your calling” was organized on 19 July 2021 and had talks delivered by Ms. Poonam Dewan, Addl. Commissioner (Landscape) Delhi Development Authority; Ms. Neena Grewal (IFS) Addl. Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Govt. of Uttarakhand; and Dr. Shruti Rai Bhardwaj Additional Director, MoEFCC, Govt. of India. The second career counselling session was organized on 5 February, 2022, where an alumna of Department of Botany Miranda House, Dr. H. Jaishree Subramaniam (Marie Sklodowska Curie Fellow at Aarhus University, Denmark; Mentor for Lotus STEMM NGO, Canada; Creator: PAKSH- mental health support initiative) shared her journey with students.
Antheia organized an online program “Revoir” to bid farewell to 2021 batch on 6th July 2021 and an online welcome for freshers, “Wisteria 2022” on 8 February 2022.
Koshika The much-looked-forward-to annual festival of ‘Antheia’, will be held in the month of March. In this event various intra and inter-college competitions are organized where students from various colleges of University of Delhi as well as other departments of Miranda House participate.
Quisqualis It is the annual magazine of Botanical Society ‘Antheia’. Translated from the Latin, Quisqualis means Who? What? A fine definition of curiosity, this is exactly what the magazine is all about. Quisqualis 2020-21 was compiled with participation of students and teaching as well as non-teaching staff and it showcased the plethora of ideas that a human mind can think of.
Arboretum The monthly newsletter of Botanical society is suffused with multidisciplinary articles with latest research work published world-wide. It has brainstorming sections of crossword and riddles to solve and interesting summary articles with links and references in case, one wants to explore further.
